Anthropology Printer SYC128LP

Installing on macOS

  1. Open Self Service
  2. Select the Printers category
  3. Click CAS - Print - SYC128LP
  4. Click Install
  5. Wait for install to complete
  6. Close Self Service

Setup Print Code and Authentication

Printing to these devices is restricted to authorized users only. If you do not have a code, please contact the Anthropology department for access.

  1. Open a printable document (you dont have to print it, but we will save your authentication information)
  2. Go to File > Print
  3. Click Show Details
  4. Select Output Method from the dropdown where your application name is currently shown. If Output Method does not appear, you may need to try a different application for setup. Once you have saved a preset, you can use that preset in other applications.
  5. Click User Authentication
  6. A User Authentication window should pop up
    1. User Name: your euid
    2. Password: A unique print code is provided by the Anthropology department
    3. Click Save Settings
    4. Click OK
  7. Click on the dropdown menu next to Presets (optional to save settings for future use)
    1. Click Save Current Settings as Preset...
    2. Set a name for the preset
    3. Click OK
    4. NOTE: If you save this preset, the next time you need to print to these printers, you can just select this preset from the list of presets instead of entering your information every time.
  8. Click Print
  9. Your document should now get sent to the printer.
