R, sometimes referred to as R-Project, is available as free software under the terms of the Free Software Foundation's GNU General Public License. R is a statistical application that provides an impressive array of methods for data analysis, interpretation, and graphical display.

Installation

To install on:

• CAS ITS-supported Dell PCs: Install via Software Center

• CAS ITS-supported Apple Macs: install via the Self Service app.

• Faculty, Staff, and Student personal laptop or home computer: download and install from http://cran.r-project.org.
