Google Earth Pro

Google Earth Pro is a geospatial software application that displays a virtual globe, which offers the ability to analyze and capture geographical data. Video tutorials, documentation, and other resources can be found at https://www.google.com/earth/desktop/.

Google Earth Pro is currently available to faculty and staff, and will be available in CAS-supported Student Computer Labs (SCLs) and specific departmental student labs for the Fall 2017 semester.

Installation

To install on:

Software Center will dowload and install the latest version of Google Earth Pro. To upgrade from an older version of Google Earth Pro installed via Software Center, click on Google Earth Pro in Software Center and select "Uninstall." Once the uninstall process completes, click on Google Earth Pro again and select "Install".
