Cisco AnyConnect is VPN (virtual private network) software allowing a remote computer to create a secure (i.e. encrypted) connection to UNT's network and receive an internet (IP) address as if the computer was located on campus. This is helpful (and sometimes necessary) when connecting to certain UNT resources or running certain software on UNT-owned laptop computers.
To install on:
- CAS ITS-supported Dell PCs: install via Software Center.

Apple Mac users
Apple computers have a built-in VPN client, so no additional software is required to connect to the UNT network. The College of Hospitality and Public Service has an excellent tutorial on how to create a VPN connection on MacOS.
