Guidelines for Link Text

  • The purpose of each link should be determinable by the link text alone whenever possible.
  • Do not use vague text such as "click here, read more, learn more, etc." as link text
  • If the link is to a document referenced in text on the page, simply use the title of the document as the link text.

Example: "We offer scholarships and other forms of support to both undergraduate and graduate students. Some of these opportunities, administered by the Dean's Office are college wide. Students are encouraged to apply for scholarship opportunities using the Scholarship Application Form."
