Microsoft Outlook Focused Inbox

  • You remain responsible for reviewing official email.
  • We can not force all UNT email into your Inbox folder.
  • Periodically check and manage junk email folder and "Other" inbox view (this article).

What is Focused Inbox?

Focused Inbox is designed to help you focus on important emails and sort out the others while also leaving them easily accessble. It does this by using a tabbed inbox and putting the important emails in the "Focused" tab and the rest in the "Other Tab".

It is replacing the older Clutter folder that Outlook used to sort out unimportant emails. Clutter will no longer function as of 31 January 2020. Just like Clutter, Focused Inbox will learn what emails it should sort based on your usage and by "training" it.
