UNT's license for Microsoft Exchange (aka: Outlook, WebMail) covers current faculty and staff (regardless of Full Time Equivalency or FTE). This means that when you leave UNT, you're no longer covered for use of your Exchange account (ie: email@example.com).
Here are your options, respective to the terms of your leaving:
UNT Policy 3-10 states that "Retired employees may retain [General Access and Campus Network Access] to computing services."
Retirees can continue to use their regular email address, but because of licensing restrictions they can no longer use Office 365 Online Archiving. CAS IT Services needs to know of any retirees in order to make this change and to also ensure access to their email address.

If you have a published alias that is on your @unt.edu account and you need it redirected to your @my.unt.edu account, please feel free to contact us.
UNT Policy 3-10 does not make any acknowledgement of terminated employees to use UNT computer systems, regardless of whether it was voluntary termination or not. However, with approval from your former Departmental Chair, we will redirect your previous e-mail alias to an external account for 90 days. Please feel free to contact us for assistance.
