What Versions of macOS does CAS support?

Supported macOS Versions

Currently, CAS supports the following Apple macOS:

  • 10.15 Catalina (Recommended)
  • 10.14 Mojave
  • 10.13 High Sierra

The Recommended supported version of macOS is the version that CAS will install when imaging or re-imaging your Apple computer, as long as the hardware is able to support it and the user does not have applications that specifically require an older version.

macOS Life Cycle

Apple doesn't provide a written statement that guarantees how long it will support each release of macOS with security updates. Apple doesn't even publicly say when an operating system is "end of life" and is no longer receiving updates. They just stop releasing updates for old versions of macOS with no announcement.

Apple has historically, and currently claims, to push security updates for the three latest versions of macOS. Check the chart below to see if you are on a supported version.
