This and the next 3 photos are devoted to Wöhler. This is the first preparation of aluminum by Wöhler. Although Ørsted of Denmark {LINK: to Ørsted's laboratory in Copenhagen} was the first to produce metallic aluminum, Wöhler was the first to prepare a pure sample.
