Previous | Home | NextThis was the university before the Haupgebäude was built in 1905: the Jenaer Schloss (Jena Castle). The chemistry laboratory ("Chemische Anstalt") was on an upper story of the Schloss. Döbereiner moved to Hellfeld Haus in 1816, when it was equipped with a chemical laboratory, and six years after he moved to Jena.
