Also in Roesky's office is an old drawing of the Entbindungs-Haus zu Göttingen (Maternity Ward), which was located at the Geismartor (see map 3; not identified on map). This building, the “Universitäts Frauenklinik,” was erected in 1791, on "the Wall" (raised mound surrounding Göttingen central). In several rooms in this building in 1903, Gustav Tammann founded the Institute for Inorganic Chemistsry in 1903. The view is northwestward, with Johanniskirche visible to the left (500 meters away). Hospitalstrasse is on the other side of the building, not visible in this picture.
