Paris, France/parisF576Previous | Home | NextThis is a repeat of the photo shown previously {LINK: to parisF142}. This photograph originally appeared in the journal Le Radium in 1904. The person to the left is commonly identified as M. Petit, "laboratory assistant" but this is in error; he is actually Gustave Bémont, head of the chemistry laboratory at the École Municipale de Physique et de Chimie Industrielles. Bémont's name is on the main plaque at the Rue Vauquelin entrance (see above) and is considered a coauthor of the original publications. |
