Previous | Home | NextThe old castle was built in the mid-sixteenth century by Francois I {LINK: Cognac506}. It was later purchased by Louis XIV for his son, "Le Grand Dauphin." The castle was burned in the Franco-Prussian War, and on its ruins was built the Meudon Observatory in 1877.
