This is University Drive, looking up the slope from a vantage point immediately north of New LeConte Hall. Latimer Hall, obscured by the trees and buildings, is on the right 100 meters ahead. The Old Radiation Laboratory was on the right at this same location 100 meters ahead, while Crocker Hall lay at a location just to its left on the present University Drive. Now all has changed, and no trace exists today of these buildings that housed the famous cyclotrons responsible for the production and discovery of technetium, astatine, neptunium, and plutonium, as well as a myriad of other physical, chemical, and biomedical discoveries. See next photo for identifications. The view is east.
