"Copper and Bismuth.
In 1699 Magnus Blix from Söderhamn [110 km southeast, on the coast] began to search for copper in this locality. He dug a small test excavation, but found that the copper ore was not worth working. In the 1720s the captain Carl Gustaf Rosenmüller renewed the work on the copper ore, but he came to the same conclusion that the ore was worthless. But he found something which he suspected to be silver and submitted it to the state for testing."
