Also in the museum are historical paintings. This bird's-eye view of Bratislava, dated 1588, was by Braun and Hogenburg. Note the names at the top: Pressburg (center) and Posonium (Slavic name in Latin). The Danube River is in the foreground. The view is northward. (See next photo for key.)
