In the Altstadt (old city) on Hauptstrasse is this statue of Bunsen. The building in the background is the Psychologisches Institut (Psychological Institute), Hauptstraße 47-51. This building is the Friedrichsbau, dating from 1864, originally constructed to house physics, mineralogy, mathematics, technology, and physiology. Kirchhoff resided on the third floor during his stay in Heidelberg. The view is northward.
