This is claimed to be the very first mention of "zinc" (it had previously been called "tutti" in Persia). This publication in 1617 is by George Engelhard von Löhneyss (1552-1625), who derived the name probably from the jagged appearance of the zinc ore -- "Zincken" which means "prongs" or "teeth."
