The label to the chromium mineral: "Crocoite. (Red lead ore). Pb(CrO4). Beresov (or Beresovski), near Ekaterinburg, Urals, Russia." Beresov was a famous gold mining area 15 km to the northeast of Ekaterinburg, in the heart of the Ural Mountains. Ekaterinburg is historically famous for being the city where the Romanovs were executed in 1918, thus ending the blood line of the rulers which had existed since 1613.
