Welsbach studied with Bunsen in Heidelberg before moving on to Vienna. There is a huge amount of information about Bunsen in the Welsbach Museum -- in fact, the second floor boasts a complete library devoted to Bunsen and Heidelberg. In this label, it says: "Robert Wilhelm von Bunsen (1811-1899). Professor of Chemistry at Heidelberg. Accomplishments: Spectral analysis, inventor of spectrometer, Bunsen burners, water-jet pumps, gas analysis, electrochemistry (Bunsen element).
