This is a newspaper photograph of Adolf Erik Nordenskiöld (1832-1901), famous arctic explorer and important biographer of Scheele. He navigated the Northeast passage in 1878, being the first to make this complete journey. He wrote in 1892 Scheele: Letters and Notes.
