It commemorates the Viking expedition in 1042 to the Caspian region by Ingvar. It says: "Tola had this stone raised in memory of her son Haraldr, Ingvar's brother. They traveled valiantly far for gold, and in the east gave food to the eagle [i.e., killed enemies]. They died in the south in Serkland [i.e., Muslim world]. |
