The last stop before returning the Finlandsky train terminal is the Army Medical Academy of St. Petersburg, which provided training for army doctors. This institution has been ranked as one of the best educational institutions of the Russian empire; for example, the Nobel Laureate Ivan Petrovich Pavlov (1849-1936) (of "Pavlov's dog" fame) was here. On the walls of the building in this photo can be seen several plaques commemorating well-known scientists who have worked there. A total of about 40 plaques are listed in the school's archives. Three of these recognizing chemists follow that were found.
