Social Report - Content Syndication

If there is a website you often share from on social media that uses RSS syndication, the feed can be automated to populate a moderation queue on Social Report.

  1. Navigate to the website you want to pull from in a separate tab or window and locate the RSS feed.
  2. Copy the URL of the RSS feed (Often the feed URL will end with "/feed" or "/rss.xml").
  3. Go to Social Report and navigate to "Publishing > Content Syndication"
  4. Click "Find Content" and select "News & Blogs".
  5. Paste the RSS URL into the "RSS feed" field.
  6. *IMPORTANT - Select "Yes" under "Curate content"
    • If "No" is selected, anything added to the RSS feed will automatically post to your social media accounts.
  7. Select the Target Accounts you want this feed to post to.
  8. Click "Advanced Options"
  9. Select "Publish based on Posting Schedule" unless you want to customize a new schedule just for this feed.
  10. Click "Next"
  11. Enter any text you would like to prepend or append posts. (Examples might be "From Texas Association of Broadcasters - " or " - Journal of Organic Chemistry")
  12. Select any calls to action for posts.
  13. Other fields on this page can be ignored currently.
  14. Click "Next"
  15. Leave selections unchecked under "Link Shortening" to continue using link shortening service for posts.
  16. Click "Next"
  17. Select any audience targeting settings you wish to attempt. Please note that this sends information to the various networks to help those networks use their existing targeting capabilities and results will vary across networks. In most cases, this can be skipped to reach the widest audience possible.
  18. Click "Save" to finish setup of RSS syndication.
