Hours and Schedule:
Monday through Friday, between 8AM and 5PM, with additional hours as needed.
As a full-time IT Specialist, you will get the opportunity to:
get a closer look at the infrastructure back-end to our systems and networks
assist in the day-to-day operations of CAS IT Services
aid in the development and testing of new tools and processes before they "go live"
gain exposure to multiple software packages, including highly-specialized discipline-specific applications
The preferred candidate will have prior experience in:
Windows 7 and Mac OS
Technical Help Desk environment
Working in higher education or an educational environment
Experience working with sensitive data and familiarity with existing laws/regulations pertaining to university data (FERPA- and HIPPA - protected).
Must be able to clearly speak over the phone and communicate via email.
The successful candidate will possess an Associate's Degree in related field and four years of related computing work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to table height and back, as well as the physical dexterity required to crawl under computer tables and connect/disconnect computer cables.
