Use your:

• EUID for services UNT provides.
• Microsoft Login for Internet-based Microsoft products that UNT provides:
  1. Learn your Microsoft Login name
     May require you to login with your EUID
  2. Try webmail with your Microsoft Login

When you update your EUID password, UNT updates your Microsoft Login password for you.

Why We Use both an EUID and a Microsoft Login

UNT contractually partners with Microsoft to provide you products and services. Microsoft maintains contracts with many institutions and that makes a much larger "federation" of people who collaborate using the same software and services on the Internet.

Using a Microsoft login name makes it easier for Microsoft's federation members and you to find each other and work together. Put another way:

• UNT makes your EUID special to services specific to UNT. Outside of UNT services, your EUID lacks meaning on the Internet.
• Your Microsoft Login (UPN) always includes a meaningful Internet location (the "@unt.edu" part).
